My work in 2015 has been excellent.
Allah has made it easy for me in many ways. No doubt that there are downs, but I am able to control them within my means.
The only thing short from my original target is the exercise that I set in the beginning of 2014.
I believe twice a week has not been consistent due to weather and work commitment. But I will step up my will power to exercise as much as I can.
Make doa for me insyaallah.

Man Utd before the match againts Stoke City
Last time my blog on Manchester United, they were top of Barclays Premier League.
They do not play as attacking as what MU fans wanted them to play, but still they produce results that matters.
The past 3 matches were defeat (Wolfsburg, Bournemouth and Norwich City). These last 2 matches are sure win games, but ended up in defeat.
Confidence is low and LVG is being attacked by the British Media.
I am disappointed and hope that the Boxing Day match will be a turning point for MU. But I do not see it happening (honestly). I would like to proof myself wrong.
With Chelsea turning from a very good team into a team near to the relegation zone; while Leceister City swop places with Chelsea at the top of the heap. If Leceister wins the BPL, it will be like Nottingham Forest winning the League back in 1978 managed by the late Brian Clough.
Bring on Stoke City and Mark Hughes.

Islam is similar to Star Wars (lessons learnt)
The whole of December 2015 is filled with Star Wars hype and promotions.
I have not seen the 7th episode of the Star Wars (The Force Awakens), but I will see the film someday insyaalah.
I still remember the 4th episode of the Star Wars saga (the 1st to be released back in 1977- A New Hope). I was still 12 years old back then.
Then came Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983).
The prequel was released in 1999 (The Phantom Menace) then Attack of the Clones (2002) and Revenge of the Sith (2005).
Anyway, what I am writing is the lessons learnt from these films. It has a strong relationship with Islam.
1. In every episode of Star Wars the main plot is the struggle between the Force and the Dark Side. Our life is mainly ours struggle between our good and our bad side (nafs). Jedis are individuals who will rise and restore balance to the world. Similarly, we Muslims are like Jedis. With strong belief, wisdom and practice, they remind mankind to do good deeds and practice restraints with patience. This is covered in Surah Al-Asr in the Quran
2. Yoda did quote "Fear is the path to the Dark Side'. Fear leads to hatred, hate leads to anger and anger leads to sufferings. If we observe closely what happened to the world now, Muslims are instilled with fear on the part of the government, authorities and societies.
In Islam, the way to conquer fear is through knowledge. In Star Wars, Anakin went to the Dark Side because he was afraid that his mother and Padme would die, and when both of them die, his anger overtook him and went to the Dark Side.
3. The 6 episodes of the Star Wars was about the journey of Anakin Skywalker from the path of Jedi, then to the Dark Side and eventually
his redemption. A lot of our life mirror this, as we are human and are prone to committing sins.
It was interesting to observe Darth Vader had wiped out almost all Jedis, and is responsible for the death of millions of life in many planets, when confronted by Luke who believed there is still some good left in his father, he flips the script by throwing Emperor Palpatine into the pit instead of his own son before he eventually die.
Here there are 2 lessons, family bonds are still strong if we believe in Allah, no matter the circumstances.
No.2 , No matter how great our sins are, Allah's mercy is much2 greater than our sins and the door to repentance is always open as long as
we are still alive.
It is not just about the movie. It is the lessons learnt from the movies that we see. As a Muslim (Jedi), we must not be arrogant and look down (attack) on others.
Knowledge is acquired to help us and not to put others down. And when we have knowledge, do not be arrogant but stay humble.
May Allah Be with Us...

Some more excellent quotes
Busy life makes PRAYER hard
But PRAYER makes busy life easy
Thought-> Words -> Actions -> Habit -> Character -> Destiny
Be somebody in the eyes of ALLAH, even if you are nobody in the eyes of the people
You can be happy but NOT grateful, but being GRATEFUL always leads to Happiness
Good people give you Happiness
Bad people give you Experience
Worst people give you Lesson
Best people give you Memories
Before you Speak, Listen
Before you Write, Think
Before you Spend, Earn
Before you Pray, Forgive
Before you Hurt, Feel
Before you Hate, Love
Before you Quit, Try
Anger leads to Hatred.
When you hate-> Become Violence, Malicious Joy, Harmful Talk, Cutting off ties, Envy

1. Man United
2. Man City
3. Arsenal
4. Chelsea
We will have to see in May 2016, whether this prediction is correct
Enjoy....

Eid Adha 1436 (2015)
I celebrated 1436H Aidil Adha in a very good atmosphere (at least in my view)
I fasted the day before.
Woke up very early on 10th Zulhijjah. Prayed Subh and do takbir, tahlil, tahmid & tasbih.
Prayed Eid prayers at 8.30am. Had rendang at my aunt's place.
Went to "witness" slaughter of cow (korban) starting at 10am and finished araound noon.
Distributed the meat.
The true spirit of sacrifice (korban), is your actions that you do for Allah and mankind above your own interests. Masyaallah..
Each time you do good, remember Allah...Rabbul Aalamiin. He knows and will reward you.
Relatives come and silaturrahim.
Zuhur prayers at local surau. Then again continue takbir.
Went to visit my close friend's house in Shah Alam.
Maghrib/Isya at masjid and continue takbir... such a peaceful atmosphere both internal and external.
Both physical and spiritual.
Ya Rabb... Grant me peace in this world and the next.
Allah huakbarX3 walillah hilhamd

Does God exists?
The debate : GOD exists or not
Don't miss even a single word in this conversation.
An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty.
He asks one of his new student..... ....
Prof: So you believe in God?
Student: Absolutely, sir.
Prof: Is God good?
Student: Sure.
Prof: Is God all-powerful?
Student: Yes.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him.
Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm?
(Student is silent.)
Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?
Student: Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?
Student: No.
Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student: From...God.. .
Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student: Yes.
Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?
Student: Yes.
Prof: So who created evil?
(Student does not answer.)
Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student: Yes, sir.
Prof: So, who created them?
(Student has no answer.)
Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student: No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student: Yes.
Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist..
What do you say to that, son?
Student: Nothing. I only have my FAITH.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student: And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student: No sir. There isn't..
(The lecture theater becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)
Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that.
There is no such thing as cold . Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy . Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)
Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something.. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality.. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God.. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor.Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)
Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher? (The class is in uproar.)
Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?
(The class breaks out into laughter.)
Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable. )
Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student: That is it sir... The link between man & god is FAITH . That is all that keeps things moving & alive.
Student: God created everything. But God let YOU have the power to choose. Freedom of choice. To be Good or to NOT be Good.

Peninsular Malaysia electricity demand forecast - my humble view with great concern
I am writing a bit about an observation from my own point of view.
I have written this 3 times in my previous postings. And I am writing it again.
My posting Aug 2012
My posting Feb 2012
My posting Aug 2010
First in Aug 2010 and the second in Feb 2012 and third Aug 2012.
This shows the IMPORTANCE of this subject, at least to myself.
It is about the Peninsular Malaysia electricity demand forecast. This is the start of any process in the electricity industry.
A forecast is something that you predict. Allah is the ALL knowing. Forecasts are all wrong to a certain degree. But we have to do it anyway.
I have said (in previous postings) that electricity demand growth is hovering around 2.0% per year, since 2012.
But with my latest observation of 4 factors, it could well be stagnant (0% growth)
The 4 factors are:-
1. Introduction of large amount of RE incentives (Renewable Energy)
2. Introduction of new technology in EE (Electicity Efficiency)
3. Climate change factor
4. Current world economic factor
Sufficient for me to stop just here. But, in a degree of certainty, I can say that the demand is going to be surprisingly low in the coming years.
Ya Rabb, You the Greatest and All knowing.

Knowledge from 3 main areas
Knowledge is things that you can learn from 3 main areas:-
1. Creations around you
2. History, past happenings that we can learn from. Either follow or avoid
3. Revelation from Allah (Quran)
Children learn mainly from things around them.
Schoolchildren learn from history subject(which is a very important subject)
Believers learn from revelation from Quran.
It is very important that as Believers, we MUST learn the Quran in order to complete the learning areas.
Ya Rabb, help us learn your deen Ya Allah. Make us among the people of tawqa and with knowledge.
Aamiin

Allah created everything in pairs to form a PERFECT BALANCE
I have since realised that whatever Allah created in this world is in pairs. Or another deeper meaning of pairs, is Allah's creation needs/depends on each other.
Allah says this in surah Yasin:36.
Anyway, what is Allah saying that His creations are created in a PERFECT BALANCE.
If humans try to do something extra to create an unbalanced situation, then humans are not creating but rather destroying the nature.
Male-female, sky-earth, night-day, ocean-land, sun-moon, positive-negative are signs that this physical world is created in a PERFECT BALANCE.
The first word in the Quran is "Read". So Allah is asking us to firstly READ in the name of Allah.
Then Allah ask us to THINK/PONDER of the creations of Allah. Just look at HIS creations. THINK that this world is created for you to observe. THINK very hard with your heart that Allah created all HIS creations in order for us to be aware that HE is the ONE whom we shall worship and be grateful to.
The next step is to be HIS slave. To do what He says and to abstain from what He forbids.
Iman, Ilmu and Amal. That is ALL that Allah wants from us. Simple and straightforward (The straight path).
From All these, guarantee that we will find peace. The ultimate PEACE. Not only in this world but in the hereafter.
(By the way, present word-hereafter are also pairs that form the PERFECT BALANCE)
Ya Rabb, make us ya Allah to be among your TRUE SLAVES. Aamiin.

Dr Zaidah Mustaffa passed away Part2
After zuhur (jemaah prayers) and the short tahlil for Jedah, all family members discussed about who wanted to go to Auckland.
Myself and my aunt already have tickets. My close uncle bought extra 3 tickets for my sister, another aunt and cousin. The remaining MAS tickets to Auckland were bussiness class. He bought the tickets anyway.
My close cousin bought 5 tickets of Singapore Airline (KL-Sing and Sing-Auck) for my brother, my wife, my two daughters and himself. This is truly a very strong bonded family.
All of us bound for Auckland packed our luggage immediately and went straight to KLIA. Alhamdulillah, Allah make a difficult task easy.
My flight to Auckland was the calmest flight I have ever experienced. It went very smoothly.Allah make it easy.
At the Auckland airport, Rudy made special arrangements in order for us to be on express lane. Allah make it easy.
There was already transport waiting for us to bring us to the mosque where the jenazah was. Allah make it easy.
We landed at Auckland airport at 11.30am and by 12.30pm, all ten of us were at the Mangere mosque.Allah make it easy.
I saw my late sister. She looked as if she was smiling. All of us cried. Allah make it easy.
After zuhur prayers, it was time for jenazah prayers. The mosque authority did not allow jenazah prayers in the masjid. We had to pray outside the masjid.
There were many people at the masjid. They came from all races. Malays, Indons, Chinese, Indian, Maouri and NZ. There were many non-muslims. And they joined the saff for solat jenazah. Masyaallah.
Rudy could not be the imam for solat jenazah, so the Sheikh asked me and I agreed.
I did not realised that there were as many (if not more) sisters that prayed solat jenazah on the other side of the mosque.
After finishing solat jenazah, we went to the cemetary at Manukau Memorial Gardens, very near the airport. I can be the witness that whoever was at the masjid also went to the burial ground. The burial went smoothly. Sheikh Rafat said that this funeral is the calmest and most peaceful one he has ever attended.
After the ceremony, a slight drizzle of rain poured and the weather was very calm. It was as if the earth is receiving something very special. Masyaallah.
I cannot remember how many people came and hug me and say good things about Jedah on that day.
Allahu maghfirlaha, warhamha, waa'ifaha wa'fuanha.
Ya Allah make her to be among your slaves Ya Rabb..

Dr Zaidah Mustaffa passed away 3rd Aug 2015
My youngest sister, Hajjah Dr Zaidah Mustaffa (Jedah) passed away on 3rd Aug 2015 in Auckland New Zealand.
I received a WA message on my handphone at 7am (Malaysia time) Sunday morning 2nd Aug 2015 from my brother (in-law) Rudy stating that Zaidah is unwell. By 8am, Rudy informed me that Jedah has been admitted to Auckland University hospital. By 12pm the result of the CT scan revealed that Jedah has 5 lesions in her brain. Rudy also mentioned to inform the family members that whoever wants to come and visit Jedah will have to do so as soon as possible.
I was deeply saddened by the news. My close uncle called me and asked me whether I wanted to go and see my youngest sister the next day (3rd Aug 2015) in NZ and I said "Yes, please" "But I have to inform my immediate boss first for me to apply for a 1 week leave." My boss granted me the leave.. Alhamdulillah.
By 3pm (2nd Aug), my close uncle bought me the ticket to Auckland. The flight was departing from KLIA at 10pm 3rd Aug 2015.
By 6pm (2nd Aug), Rudy informed me that Jedah is sleeping without any difficulty.
I knew that my sister is very critical. I could not do anything the whole day. I only think about Jedah and may Allah help her and us all in this really trying time.
The next day 8.00 am (Monday), my close cousin asked me to hold a small "solat hajat" for Jedah after Zuhur prayers at my house. I said, yes I can lead the prayer.
At 8am also, Rudy passed me the phone and I talked to my sister. She could barely talk. I said to her "Jedah, please don't talk and just listen to what I say.. Allah is with you, Allah is with you, Allah is with you" and I heard her very soft voice saying "Yes" 3 times.
At 12.30pm 3rd Aug 2015, Rudy informed me that Jedah passed away. Innalillah hi wainna ilai hirajioon.
I cried, but I have to be strong. I told my wife and my 2 daughters. My remaining two daughters are in Auckland NZ. And I told the other family members.
Jedah was born in Petaling Jaya 19th July 1975 and passed away 3rd Aug 2015 in Auckland. Her passing away was very fast and easy and she was never bed ridden or lost excessive weight. She passed away smiling, knowing that death is a way to finally meet Allah.
She had metastatic cancer since end Dec 2014. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in Oct 2012, but after removing her breast in Nov 2012, she was certified as cancer free. She did her hajj in 2014 taking the Australia/NZ Muslim quota.
The solat hajat became a tahlil arwah. The whole family cried. "Allahu magh firlaha, warham ha, wa afiha, wa'fuannha"
Rudy decided for Jedah to be buried in NZ.
We made arrangements in order to buy whatever available tickets to Auckland NZ.

Raya 2015
Solat hari raya bersama keluarga. Kemudian kunjung mengunjung ke rumah sanak saudara.
1. Rumah mak saudara, PJ
2. Rumah jiran, PJ
3. Rumah mak saudara, Bangsar
4. Rumah bapa saudara, KL
5. Rumah kawan, Ampang
6. Rumah tok saudara, Klang
7. Rumah bapa saudara, Damansara

Seperti biasa tadabbur Quran.
Zuhur/Asar berjemaah disurau... Alhamdulillah.

Senonoh bermadsud sopan. Tak pulak kita dengar orang bercakap "Sungguh senonoh kau hari ini". Kerana perkataan senonoh sendiri digunakan khas untuk perkara2 negatif.
Masa kini Malaysia banyak dilanda pesepsi negatif.
Let us all Pray and make Doa for Malaysia

BPL season 2015
The 2015 season finished with Chelsea emerging as the BPL Champions. Man United finished 4th which is better that my prediction of them finishing 5th place.
Arsenal won the FA Cup making them the most successful FA Cup winners ahead of Man United, beating Aston Villa (4-0)
Chelsea also won the League Cup by beating Spurs 2-0.
My earlier prediction Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man United.
It ended up Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Man United, Spurs.
Hull City, Burnley and QPR were relegated while Bournemouth, Watford and Norwich will replace them.
What about next season? I will comment in August then

Preparation for the coming Ramadan
I am preparing myself early for the coming fasting month.
This time round, I know that the main objective is to increase the level of taqwa.
So, 5 main things to focus on:-
1. Read and UNDERSTAND the Quran
2. Remember Allah in every possible instant (in good and bad times)
3. Have a huge quantity of patience (sabr)
4. Do good stuff, no matter what people do to you
5. Leave everything to Allah once you have done the best on your part
May Allah grant all of us the increase in taqwa.. Aamiin

Paradigm shift or Mind shift
I realised one very phenominal thing recently that I want to share with all.
Until and unless we change the way we see things.
Some people call it a "paradigm shift" and some call it "mind shift".
It is changing the way we see things and this has something to do with our heart and our MAKER.
This world and the environment CANNOT change you unless you give permission to do so.
If we set a goal, we should be focusing our mind and soul to achieve the goal. If we fail, we try again and again until we succeed. This is the winning mentality.. never give up.. the human mind is so very powerful if only we know how to use them correctly.
I do not intend to write a motivational book on the matter. Sufficient to mention that if we focus on something, put your mind to it, and do something to achieve it.
One of the way to unlock this unlimited potential is to learn to be GRATEFUL and APPRECIATIVE.
Change the way you look at life and APPRECIATE the things that you have!
Try it... and search for greatness!

Preparation before Ramadan comes
It is just less than 50 days before all of us will meet Ramadan again.
You will be surprised how fast the time pass by in these periods and you will observe people pass away during these period ( it might be me!)
We do not know whether we will successful in meeting the coming Ramadan, but we make doa to Allah that He granted our wish.
We should be slowing doing the necesssary preparation for Ramadan. The months of Rejab and Syaaban are trial periods before we reach the real Ramadan!
There are 4 things that we can start doing:-
1. Read and tadabbur Quran
2. Start fasting sunnah
3. Start making solat at night (tahajjud)
4. Start guarding our tongues
Ya Rabb, please give me the strenght to do ALL the above.....
Aameen

MU lost at home to West Brom.. how unlucky!
Manchester United lost 3 games in a row without scoring a single goal.
They lost 1-0 to Chelsea (a) and 3-0 to Everton (a). But losing 1-0 at home to West Brom was really very disappointing indeed.
When I compare these results with last season's results (under David Moyes), all these games were lost as well (this is not a consolation).
I watched these games with my MU mates (my cousin's sons) and we were very disappointed.
Wait a minute... Yes, I am disappointed but these are all Allah's plans and desire. No need to be disappointed. We are slaves to Allah.
The next 3 games will be crutial. Crystal Palace (a), Arsenal (h) and Hull (a). The worst thing is MU do not collect any points from the remaining games and the best thing is that MU collects 9 points.
Bring on the game. I will support MU and enjoy the games...

Jangan bersedih.. Yakini Allah... Tingkatkan TAQWA

We have MORE but...
We build taller buildings but shorter tempers
Wider Highways but narrower viewpoints
We spend more, but have less
Buy more but enjoy less
We have bigger houses but smaller families
More Conveniences but less time
We have more degrees but less sense
More knowledge but less judgement
More experts yet more problems
More medicine but less wellness
We spend too recklessly, laugh less
Drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, read too little, PRAY too seldom
We have multiplied our posessions but reduce our values
We talk too much, love too seldom & hate too often
We learn how to make a living, but not a life
We added life to years, but not years to life
We conquer the outer space but not the inner feelings
We have done large things but not better things
We clean up the air but polluted the soul
We write more but learn less
We plan more but accomplish less
We hold more information, but communicate less
Fast food but low digestion
Big people but small character
Steep profit but shallow relationship
Fancy houses but broken homes
Take a pause and THINK.... Are we better off than before?
Wider Highways but narrower viewpoints
We spend more, but have less
Buy more but enjoy less
We have bigger houses but smaller families
More Conveniences but less time
We have more degrees but less sense
More knowledge but less judgement
More experts yet more problems
More medicine but less wellness
We spend too recklessly, laugh less
Drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, read too little, PRAY too seldom
We have multiplied our posessions but reduce our values
We talk too much, love too seldom & hate too often
We learn how to make a living, but not a life
We added life to years, but not years to life
We conquer the outer space but not the inner feelings
We have done large things but not better things
We clean up the air but polluted the soul
We write more but learn less
We plan more but accomplish less
We hold more information, but communicate less
Fast food but low digestion
Big people but small character
Steep profit but shallow relationship
Fancy houses but broken homes
Take a pause and THINK.... Are we better off than before?
Surah ArRahmaan
Surah ArRahmaan (55) is the most catchy Surah in the whole Quran.
There is one ayaat that is repeated a total of 31 times in this Surah.
The meaning of this repeated ayaat "Then, which of the favours of your Rabb will you both (humans & Jinn) deny?"
Allah azzawajal questions us many times on this particular question.. The signs are all over us that Allah favours are too much for us to mention.
This nature that Allah has built for us is such in a balance that we can live in. Let us add an insignicant small percentage of Oxygen from this atmosphere, then the world is no more balance. The world with say, 1% more oxygen will make many things more prone to explosion as oxygen will aid combustion.
Or, if one of our three main heart artery is blocked, then you will not be able to pump blood as easily as having all arteries working harmoniously.
Anyway back to Surah ArRahmaan, this MOST mercily Allah azzawajal's first mention after ArRahmaan is "Allamal Quran" (He taught you the Quran). The ones whom Allah "teaches" the Quran will have His most mercy bestowed to that person.
Let us all make an effort to really learn the Quran and execute them as it is indeed the Guided Book for the people who Believe"
Make dua for all of us to be Guided by Allah azzawajal.
Aamiin.

GST and April Fool's Day
1 April is famous with April Fools Day(sometimes called All Fools' Day).
It is celebrated every year on the first day of April as a day when people play practical jokes and hoaxes on each other.
The jokes and their victims are known as "April fools". Popular since the 19th century, the day is not a national holiday in any country.
When I was a child in primary school, I myself played practical jokes with my friends and laughed about it.
This year (2015), Malaysia will start implementing GST (Goods & Services Tax). No, this is NOT a practical joke! This is for real.
What many people say that generally price of goods will come down by the abolishment of SST and the establishment of GST. This is a JOKE! It is the BIGGEST joke ever!
Let us observe what will happen come 1 April 2015.
Happy April Fools Day everyone

One person's misery did not prevent the neighbour from executing a well planned event
Malaysia and Singapore are 2 neighbouring countries which was once one nation.
On 23 Mar 2015, the founder of Singapore, Mr Lee Kwan Yew passed away.
On the same day, Johor Sultan was crowned in a historic ceremony and Johor state was given a holiday.
On 29 Mar 2015, the cremation of Mr Lee will be held. On the same day, Malaysia will host the most awaited event, the Malaysian F1 Grand Prix.
One nation's misery will not stop their neighbouring nation from postponing events that have been planned much earlier.
That goes with humans as well. Let say our next door neighbour passed away suddenly on a particular day. We have planned a wedding for our child on that very same day. We will not postpone the event by the passing of our neighbour. This is because the planning and preparation (not to mention the cost) is just too much to consider if we decided to postpone the event.
Ok, that is acceptable.
But what we need to realise is Allah is THE ULTIMATE planner. He Know what is in store and what will happen. Just ponder on both the dates and the events that happened simultaneously on both sides of the causeway.
Needless to say more, all of us will have to go someday.
I end this post by a tagline...
"When we come to this world, we cry and everybody around us are happy... Make sure that when we exit this world, we are happy and everybody around us are crying"
The worst thing that can happen to us is: when we die, the situation does not change from the time we came to this world
Ya Allah, make our ending a good ending (khusnul khotimah)

An athlete that I admired when I was young
I love football (or soccer) and I have played the game since I was 7 years old.
I also love sports in general having played (and have the gear too) field hockey, badminton, squash, tennis and table tennis.
I have many childhood idols that I look up to when I was small and young.
But there is no other sportsperson that I really respect above Ayrton Senna (3 times F1 Champion driver)
You can google about his outstanding achievements, but I can only conclude them in 2 words:-
1. remarkable talent
2. sheer determination to win
that leads to pushing his capabilities beyond limit.
This posting is a tribute to an exceptional person that I admire.
Even a leading watch maker (Tag Heuer) chose Ayrton Senna as their Ambassador and produce a tagline "Don't crack under pressure"

My advice to my daughters when feeling down
I has been a while since I wrote about my 4 daughters.
They are very important to me. I shall give them ALL the support to ensure they lead a good life. Below are my advice specific to them.
This world, sometimes you will face ups and downs. That is life. It is never up and it is never down.
We need to deal with these situations. That is why reminder by our close friends/relatives is VERY IMPORTANT.
When we are down, like we think that we are not good, not doing well in our exams and feeling that we are not important, come back to Allah.
It is okay to feel down, but it is NOT OK to feel down all the time.
Just let the feeling sink in, and get back to your senses.
I am good. I do well in my exams and I am important to Allah and the people who are close to me. Talk to close friends/relatives about you feeling down. And these people will motivate you back to be feeling positive.
Just be aware that our LIFE is full of ups and downs. The key is your ups MUST BE MUCH MORE than your downs.
The solution - seek advice from close people and seek forgiveness from Allah. Then have a POSITIVE mind.
Insyaallah it works. Well... it works for me. That is why I share this article.
Aliah my eldest daughter is very beautiful and active in sports/activities. She loves cats. Taking Psychology at Auckland University of Technology (AUT)
Aisyah my second daughter is very beautiful and active in arts and photography. She loves fashion. Taking Architecture at University institute Technology Mara (UiTM)
Ain Zahra, my third is very pretty and studying form 3 at SMKP Sri Aman, Petaling Jaya (High Performance School)
Anis Sofia, my fouth is very pretty and studying in Std 6 at SIM Darul Ehsan, Subang Jaya (Good Integrated School)
My daughters are my trustees. I am responsible to them.
Last bit of advice which they already know "Jangan lupa Solat"
Allah will take care of All of us

Man Utd lost to Arsenal
Manchester United lost at home to bitter rivals Arsenal in the Quarter Finals of the English FA Cup..
Disappointed? Of couse... but not for long
As I analyse the game, MU did not deserve to win
There will be important matches ahead, Spurs (h), Liverpool (a), Aston Villa & Man City (h) and Chelsea (a).
These 5 matches will determine MU's season.
Just enjoy......

Some more good quotes...
When you get really angry.... just forgive
Before you speak, let your words pass through 3 gates:-
is it true?
is it necesssary?
is it kind?
Learn to:-
love without condition
talk without bad intentions
give without any reason
care for others without any expectation
The unhappiest people in this world are the people who care most about what other people think
Those who spend their time looking for faults of others usually make no time to correct their own
If you have:-
family that loves you
a few good friends
food on your table
roof above your head.... you have everything!

Allah KNOWS, we as slaves do not know....
I discovered a very important surah that I wanted to relate to my followers
Surah Baqarah:30 ".. I know what you do not know"
Surah AlKahfi: 60~82 Is about the story of Musa who wanted to learn from Khidir. But Khidir warned Musa " you can never be patient if you follow me. How can you be patient if you do not have sufficient knowledge about it"
These 2 ayats illustrates to us the VAST KNOWLEDGE of Allah. There is absolutely no way we can understand Allah's knowledge. He is the ALL KNOWING. HE knows the past, the present and ALL the permutations of the future. You can never imagine how many ways things can turn out in the future with what we do today.
Allah knows ALL. We as slaves of Allah have the power to decide our destiny. That Allah give us the limited power to decide. That is why we (slaves) are accountable for what what we do. Yes, Allah knows the outcome of our decision, but the fact remains that we have a certain power that Allah give.
This is consistent with our believe that there are 2 components in our lives.
1. Our own effort
2. Allah's will
That is why in Surah Fatihah
"Only to you we enslaves ourselves and to you we seek help"
2 things to remember
1. Give your best
2. Make dua to Allah
So very powerful and so very simple.
I make doa that ALL of us give our best to be closer to Allah. And I make doa that Allah help us to be closer to HIM.
Aamiin

We must understand the Quran.
Quran is in Arabic. There is a specific reason for it to be revealed in classical Arabic.
We must learn Arabic in order to understand the meaning of Allah's words.
Here is a video emphasising on the matter

Worst flood in Malaysia.... Dec 2014
This year, the flood situation is unlike other years. There were way too many people affected by the flood.
I can imagine the suffering of people who are affected by the flood. Their homes being filled with water and their belongings destroyed because of the water.
When the flood finally subside, they have to clean their houses and some of the things can no longer be used. They have to spend money and effort during this trying times.
I take this opportunity to send my condolences to the flood victims. They have to bear patience. Use this calamity to make doa to Allah so that Allah make it easy for us all. If a calamity befalls us, and the result is that it draws us nearer to Allah, this should be considered as something good.
Allah made the hardship to draw us closer to Him. Take this golden opportunity to be nearer to Allah.
I thank Allah for HIS mercy and protection. He has given to me and hopefully draw me closer to Allah azzawajal.
Ya Allah, please make me from the people who are grateful to you in whatever circustances be it good or bad. Ya Rabb, please protect me from the persuasion of Syaitan and from people who also acts like syaitan.
Ya rabb, please give strength to the people who are suffering from floods and make it easy for them. Make them be nearer to you Ya Allah... Aamiin

About Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston
What has Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston have in common?
They all are people who make other people happy. They are very successful people and made a lot of money making people happy.
But they themeselves are not happy. They took drugs in order to forget about their problems. But drugs did not help, in fact made the situation worst. In the end, they died because of too much taking drugs.
Very talented and highly gifted people who ended up dying on drug overdose. Pity them..
We can take a very important lesson from them.
We can make people happy. In fact we should make people happy with our good deeds.
But we also must make ourselves happy. There is no better way to be happy than to remember Allah.
It is very difficult to really express happiness when remembering Allah.
No doubt that syaitan is making extra effort to these kind of people to make them further away from Allah.
The entertainment business is full of activities that make you further and further away from Allah. But that will not stop people to make dakwah and pray to Allah to give all mankind hidayah.
Allah is the ALL KNOWING. We just make effort and doa. Everything will turn out good.
Put our whole trust to Allah alone..
May Allah grant us all (His slaves) forgiveness

Some awesome quotation from brother Nouman(2)
Your sin is NOT GREATER than Allah's MERCY
Do not expect from others, expect ONLY from Allah
The people who test your patience are a blessing, without them you cannot practice patience
We live in a society that wake our kids for school but not for fajr
When you talk, you are repeating what you already know, but if you listen, you may learn something new
If you love someone, then commit. If you don't commit, then your claim of love is not real
Do not force religion on your family, show them the beauty of religion through you own sincere practice
The signs of a beautiful person is that he always sees beauty in others
Hurt me with truth, but never comfort me with lie
You have 2 friends; 1. Allah 2. those who reminds you of Allah
You don't have to insult other people's opinion to make your opinion heard
What men should know.. is that a woman who truly loves you will be angry at you for so many things, but will stick with you
Do not expect from others, expect ONLY from Allah

Some awesome quotations from brother Nouman
The more knowledge (of Deen) you have, the more humble you should be, instead of becoming more judgemental
People have no idea how true the promise of Allah is. Put your trust in Allah. HE will see you through
When you find yourself in a position to help someone, be happy. Because Allah is answering that person's prayer through you
When you see someone not religious, remember you were once on the edge of fire, and Allah guided you. Arrogance will wipe away goodness
You cannot change someone's behaviour. You can only remind, and hope that Allah will change him
If someone corrects you and you feel offended, then you have EGO problem
Modern psychology focuses on fixing people, Islamic psychology focuses on showing the perfection in our creation
Having dunya is not the problem, loving it is...
While you hate your life because you cannot get get what you wanted, someone is wishing to have a life like yours
If we are TRULY the people of Alhamdulillah, we would not find the time, energy and motivation to complain
When you are going through hard times, and you wonder where Allah is... just remember, the teacher is always quiet during a test
Islam is not "we are better than you". Islam is "let me show you something better for you"
When we have lack of respect for others, remember Allah honours ALL human beings

My 3rd trip to Auckland to visit sister and daughter(2)
Thursday 27Nov. I woke up early to follow my sister to her workplace in Central Auckland. By 9am, she dropped me at Albert Park and I walked (my usual path) to the Domain and Auckland Museum.
I waited until 11.30am for my whole family to arrive at the Domain. We took pictures and talk. At 12pm, we slowly walked to Food Court in Queen's Street to have lunch at an Indon halal restaurant. I ate soo much that what I burned when I walked in the morning were replaced by the amount of food I ate for lunch.
After lunch, we headed again to the Domain where we park our car (3 hours free!). This time we are too full to even walk. We took the bus and drove straight to the north side of Auckland at a suburb called Davenport. Nice little town . We found a much sorted Milk Chocolate in a supermarket which was just being refilled. The cashier limit only one bottle for every customer! Each of us bought one seperately!
We climbed the Mount Victoria and looked at the sea surrounding Auckland City. There was a fort up on the mountain and the scenery is breathtaking. We took many pictures!!
Friday 28Nov. A rest day for all of us... At 1.30pm I drove to Pakuranga mosque (Majd Abu Bakar) to perform Jumaat prayers. The rest of the family went shopping at Sylvia Park. We had a good halal lunch. At night, we went to sister Norleen's house for a very nice dinner. We came back almost midnight!
Sat 29Nov. I went with my sister to Manukau City as her charity organisation (Fatimah Foundation) has a function. A very pleasant and friendly man came and shook hands with me. Later I found out from my brother that he is Len Brown the Mayor of Auckland! What a contrast to the situation in Malaysia!
Then we proceed to go shopping at Victoria Market, where you can open a small corner shop for a small amount! Nice atmosphere.
Then me and eldest daughter Aliah went to the beach in Kare-kare together with her friends from Aussie. What a fantastic beach. There was also a waterfall just before the beach front. All praise be to Allah for creating this beautiful world for us (His slaves) to thank Him.
Sunday 30Nov. Packing day for me. My flight to KL is at 2.30pm. By 12.45pm, I was at the airport. Thank you to my sister and daughter for having me in Auckland. This 3rd time was as good as the previous 2 visits. My wife and 2 daughters also stay for another 2.5 weeks and I travel back to KL alone. There was a 1 hour delay and the airline gave NZD12 for me to have a quick lunch.
What a wonderful trip this is. Alhamdulillah and thank you to sister and daughter, thank you Allah....

My 3rd trip to Auckland to visit sister and daughter
I spent my holiday this year in New Zealand.
This is my 3rd time in New Zealand and I have full respect for this country. No wonder they are good in rugby!
I arrive in Auckland early Monday morning 24 Nov. My sister & brother-in-law came to fetch me and family at the airport.\
They brought us to their home in Coppins Road, Mount Wellington. The whole day we rested after 11 hours of flight. In the evening, around 6pm, we drove to my favourite beach in Auckland, Mission bay. Had the traditional fish-and-chips and overlooking Rangitoto island. Nice!
Tuesday, I went to Auckland to meet up with old acquantance. His name is Christ Day. I met him on a flight from Auckland -KL in 2012 and we talked about some common interests. In the afternoon, I walked towards Otahuhu.. wonderful walk.
In the evening, the whole family went up Mount Wellington and took pictures. Very very nice!
Wednesday, all of us went on a day trip to Roturua. Roturua is situated 210KM from Auckland. I drove through HW1-HW2-HW27-HW24-HW8-HW5.
We started at 7.30am and reached Roturua at 10.00am. When we started from Auckland, it was raining but when we reached Roturua the shine began to shine. Subhanallah.
Coincidently when we reached the SkyPark, I heard some called "Ayah.." It was my eldest daughter!
She was with her friends from Australia. We hug, but she told me she had to go. I said " See you in Auckland". We climbed the mountain on a cable car called "Gondola". On the way down, the kids used the LUGE while I took a calm walk down scenic route down the mountain.
We then had lunch at Kebab store (Just Kebab). Then off we went to Agrodome for the Farm tour. Nice tour feeding the sheeps. And watching how they sheer the sheep.
We then spent time at the lake and at Kuirau Park where there are many hot springs. Prayed zuhr & Asr before heading back to Auckland. The sun was still up at 7.30pm when we started our journey back to Auckland. Reached at 10.00pm and feeling very tired but extremely happy!
Alhamdulillah
