This surah Hadid is named Iron (translated from Arabic)
It is the 57 surah in the Quran. Iron is mentioned in the 25 ayat of this surah.
Let us try to relate Quran and science.
In the periodic table, iron (its scientific name is Ferrum (Fe)) atomic mass in 56.
It's atomic number is 26.
But for stable Ferrum, there are 4:- Fe54, Fe56, Fe57 and Fe58.
It is the most common element on Earth, forming much of Earth's outer and inner core.
There is a reason behind Fe57 that clearly connects iron as a metal and surah Al-Hadid (57) of the Quran.
There is also connection between its atomic number 26 with the 25 ayat.
I do not know how to relate Quran and science, but I am close.
Quran is a book of signs from Allah. We need to seek the deeper understanding of what Allah is telling us which takes more effort, rather than a direct meaning.
Allah is the ALL knowing

Future CEO
I went to an audition which was organised by my company way back in April 2016.
The company wants to find corporate leaders who will lead the organisation in the future. It is called Future CEO.
It is open to ALL executives to find potential leaders at ALL levels.
There are 4 levels of the audition. You need to pass the 1st level in order to proceed to the next level, and so on until the 4th level.
This is the 2nd time they did it. The first time, 34 people were selected from 400 participants. There are certain criteria for selection.
Anyway,I prepared myself for this. I found out that I am the oldest participant.
My initial audition was on a Monday, but due to prior commitment, I asked the organiser to postpone and they rescheduled my on Thursday.
I gave my best and I make doa to Allah for the rest.
I did not make it to the second round!
The only consolation (if any) is that the panel took a long time to decide on my presentation in the level 1 audition. This is according to the secretariat.
Am I frustrated?.... A bit
Well, I did participate. I gave my best shot. I submit to Allah
I guess that I am not a corporate leader.
But wait... I want to be the obedient slave of Allah. I gave my best. Allah has better plans for me.
All in all I thank the organiser for giving me a chance. But most of All, I thank Allah for all that happens.
Alhamdulillah

Why Why Why....
Sometimes we ask some very hard questions
Why does Allah wants to test us in this world?
If he is so Merciful, why did He create a lot of sufferings in this world?
Why is this life unfair? Why can't everything be fair and square?
For a true believe; is to believe in the unseen.
In surah Baqarah:30 (the last part) Allah explains "I know what you don't know"
This is exactly what the angels asks Allah why did Allah wants to create humankind in this world, while He Knows that humans do corrupt things and shed blood, unlike the angels who constantly praise and sanctify to Allah.
Allah responded "I know what you don't know"
Just this word from the All Knowing is enough to answer all our hard questions.
When we were young, we always ask why do we have to study in order to be successful in life.
Why do we have to take test after test? If the teacher cares for us, why did he torture us with all this homework? This is really unfair!! Why can't teachers and parents leave us alone to play all day long?
For all the questions about Allah, He (Allah) answers that I know what you don't know; is enough to make us follow what He commands
I do not intend to write long articles, but to have complete FAITH in Allah, rest assured and guarantee that we will be successful in this world and the hereafter.
Ya Rabb, please2 guide me to the straight path. Aamiin

AADC2 and being a traveler
I just saw this Indonesian movie. Ada apa dengan cinta2 (AADC2). Nice movie about a man named Rangga who tries to connect with his past.
He lives in New York USA, but he came back to his roots in Indonesia. He tries to connect back with his mother and his lover.
Anyway what is fascinating about this film is Rangga differentiate between a tourist and a traveler.
A tourist plans for his travelling, having to arrange for all sorts of details, itinerary and schedules. Everything must be well planned.
While a traveler gives minimum to planning. He just go with the flow. Whatever comes, he will plan there and then. The excitement is discovering the unexpected.
It is similar to life. We are all travelers. Yes we plan our life, what we want to be. But what turns out somewhat is different to what we initially plan. Because Allah is the BEST Planner.
True believers will plan and then surrender to Allah. What happens is the WILL of Almighty Allah.
Have faith that Allah's plan has its turns and is the BEST for His slaves even though we may not know the benefits of His plan.
Allah is very subtle and in total control of His plans
Take the story of Yusof in the Quran.
All the trials and tribulations that Yusof went through sets the scene for the best for him and his family.
Yaacob (the father) too never gave up hope and Allah unites him with his long lost son.
Let us all be travelers in the journey of life

The month of Syawal
The 1st of Syawal is where Muslims celebrate Eidil Fitri after 1 month of fasting.
Muslims celebrate by praising Allah for all the blessings and good things that has happened to us.
Last year Syawal (18 Syawal) my youngest sister pass away peacefully in Auckland New Zealand.
Her name is Dr Zaidah Mustaffa aged 40 when she pass away.
This year Syawal (8 Syawal) my younger brother(in-law) had a viral attack to his brain and in Intensive Care Unit, Hospital until today (23 Syawal). He is 44 years old. His name is Azali Yaacob.
This year Syawal (11 Syawal) my uncle had a massive stroke and in Intensive Care Unit, Hospital until today (23 Syawal). He is 67 years old. His name is Ismail Mimfari.
I went to Auckland, New Zealand last year.
I went to Kota Bharu to visit my brother.
I went to Johor Bahru to visit my uncle.
I saw sadness and high hope among family members.
I realise that Allah is in total control of the situation. He KNOWS. He TESTS us.
He wants us to be near Him and have FAITH in Him.
O Allah, you are my Rabb. I ONLY ask from you for the best for all mankind.
We are your slave and we have Complete FAITH in you.
