MU and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
I remember clearly the first game I saw live on TV of an English club team was MU vs Southampton.
It was 1976 FA Cup Final in Wembley.
MU lost the game 1-0 but they displayed attacking football. They run more than the opponent in every game they play.
That was the day I became MU supporter.
That is what MU is all about. Attacking football.
Does not matter if they lose, but it is about attacking football.
That is what Ole Gunnar did to the present MU team. Just attack, attack and attack.
You are 1-0 up, keep attacking. Keep running and just enjoy the attacking football.
That is my kind of MU.
Maintain 6th position in BPL. Take each game at a time and see what happens.

KEISTIMEWAAN- KEISTIMEWAAN AL-QUR’AN Bahagian 2
11. Berita Al-Qur’an pasti benar dan hukumnya adil. Allah Azza wa Jalla berfirman:
“Kami ceritakan kisah mereka kepadamu (Muhammad) dengan sebenarnya”. [Al-Kahfi: 13].
“Sesungguhnya ini adalah kisah yang benar”. [ali-Imran: 62]
13. Al-Qur’an mengumpulkan antara keperluan dunia dan akhirat. Allah berfirman:
[al-Qashash: 77]
14. Al-Qur’an memenuhi semua keperluan (hidup) manusia baik berupa aqidah, ibadah, hukum, mu’amalah, akhlaq, politik, ekonomi dan. permasalahan-permasalahan kehidupan lainnya, yang diperlukan oleh masyarakat. Allah berfirman:
[al-An’aam: 38]
Dan firman Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala :
[an-Nahl: 89]
Al-Qurthubi berkata dalam menafsirkan firman Allah (مَّافَرَّطْنَا فِي الْكِتَابِ مِن شَىْءٍ ) Tiadalah Kami lupakan sesuatu apapun di dalam Al-Kitab (Al-An’aam: 38)
Ath-Thabari berkata dalam menafsirkan ayat (وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ تِبْيَانًا لِّكُلِّ شَىْءٍ) “Dan Kami turunkan kepadamu Al-Kitab (al-Qur’an) untuk menjelaskan segala sesuatu.
17.“Orang yang mahir dengan al-Qur’an bersama malaikat yang mulia, sedang orang yang membaca al-Qur’an dengan tertatih-tatih dan ia bersemangat (bersungguh-sungguh) maka baginya dua pahala” [HR. Bukhari-Muslim].
18. Allah menjadikan al-Qur’an sebagai pemberi petunjuk dan pemberi kabar gembira. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala berfirman:
[al-Isra: 9]
19. Al-Qur’an menenangkan hati dan memantapkan keyakinan.
“Baguskan (bacaan) al-Qur’an dengan suaramu maka sesungguhnya suara yang bagus akan menambah keindahan suara al-Qur’an”. [Hadits Shahih, lihat Shahihul Jami’ karya Al-Albani rahimahullah].
“Katakanlah, “Dialah Allah, Yang Maha Esa “. [al-Ikhlash:], dan:
“Katakanlah “Aku berlindung kepada Rabb Yang Menguasai subuh”. [al-Falaq:1] dan:
“Katakanlah, “Aku berlindung kepada Rabb manusia”. [an-Naas:1].
“Dan sesungguhnya masjid-masjid itu adalah kepunyaan Allah. Maka janganlah kamu menyembah seseorangpun di dalamnya di samping (menyembah) Allah”. [al-Jin: 18].
21. Al-Qur’an merupakan sumber syari’at Islam yang pertama yang Allah turunkan kepada Nabi kita Muhammad Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam untuk mengeluarkan manusia dari kegelapan kufur, syirik dan kebodohan menuju cahaya keimanan, tauhid dan ilmu. Allah berfirman:
“Alif, laam raa.
KEISTIMEWAAN- KEISTIMEWAAN AL-QUR’AN Bahagian 1
[HR. Bukhari].
Banyak hadits shahih yang menjelaskan tentang keutamaan membaca surat-surat dari al-Qur’an.
Berikut ini kami paparkan sebagian keistimewaan-keistimewaan al-Qur’an al-Karim: [2]
1. Tidak sah shalat seseorang kecuali dengan membaca sebagian ayat al-Qur’an (yaitu surat Al-Fatihah) berdasarkan sabda Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.
“Sesungguhnya Kami-lah yang menurunkan al-Qur’an dan sesungguhnya Kami benar-benar memeliharanya”. [al-Hijr:9]
[an-Nisa’: 82]
4. Al-Qur’an mudah untuk dihafal berdasarkan firman Allah:
[an-Najm:39]
(ِAl-Israa’:82)
9. Al-Qur’an akan memintakan syafa’at (kepada Allah) bagi orang yang membacanya, berdasarkan sabda Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam :
“Bacalah al-Qur’an, karena sesungguhnya ia akan datang di hari kiamat memohonkan syafa’at bagi orang yang membacanya (di dunia)”. [HR. Muslim].
10. Al-Qur’an sebagai hakim atas kitab-kitab sebelumnya, sebagaimana firman Allah Azza wa Jalla :
[Tafsir Ibnu Katsir juz 2 hal. 65]

Man United Season 2018/19
This 2018/19 season Manchester United began with a slow start.
Mourinho has his fair share of problems.
With this slow start, it is confirmed that they cannot win the EPL this season.
Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City and Tottenham will be setting the pace.
Next game will be away to Watford, who have won all 4 of their games this season. This will be a really huge test for Man United.
Anyway, I will always enjoy all Man United games.
My prediction is that they will finish either 5th or 6th in EPL.
1. Man City
2. Liverpool
3. Chelsea
4. Tottenham
5. Man United/Arsenal
6. Arsenal/Man United
Nonetheless Manchester United will be my team!

5 reasons why Allah test you with problems
1. To DIRECT you
"Sometimes, it takes a painful situation to change our ways
2. To CORRECT you
We learn lessons through pain and failure. Sometimes we only learn the value of something.. by losing it
3. To PROTECT you
A problem can be a blessing if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Only Allah Knows what the future holds
4. To INSPECT you
When you have problems/challenges you should be grateful as these troubles test your faith to Allah and your patience.
5. To PERFECT you
Problems, when overcome correctly, are character builders. Your relationship with Allah is what you will bring you to the next life. Patience will develop into strengths and help us to further trust in Allah until we reach TAQWA
Ya Rabb, test me within my limits... so that I can be closer to you..
Aamiin

Ya Allah - Guide me to your straight path
In this world, there are numerous challenges that we face each day.
Challenges in Financial Security, in Career Path, in Raising our Children, at Workplace and the list goes on and on...
Yes, we need to face these challenges.
Not realising these challenges can be overcome by following Allah's manual in Quran and Hadith. We just have to seek for it and to obtain sufficient knowledge..
In this blogpost, it is too short for me to explain in detail.
Sufficient to CONFIRM that Allah (our Creator) has given the answer to all in His Divine Book and in the form of the Messenger.
Something really valuable can be obtained through "struggle" and sacrifice. And this is exactly what happens when you want to seek guidance from Allah.
Believe that once you obtain the guidance, this life with all the challenges are really beautiful and fulfilling. Allah Knows what is best for His TRUE slaves.
I hope everyone can struggle & sacrifice to obtain the Guidance from Allah. That is what we ask for in Surah Fatihah each time we pray.
Join me to make doa for the Guidance from Allah.
Aamiin.

Make the initial effort, then ask for help from Allah
As time passes by, to really consistently learn about Quran is getting more and more difficult (for me).
There is always this distraction that pulls me away from memorizing and learning about this amazing devine book of Allah.
I really have to make extra effort in order to overcome this.
I really make doa to Allah to make things easier for me.
Come to really (deeply) think about it is that there are 2 things here:-
1. You make the initial effort
2. You ask from Allah to make it easier for you.
If we think that it is ME that make it a success, then you are missing the point.
Surah Fatihah verse 4
To you (Allah) we enslave ourselves to
and to you (Allah) we ask for help
We make the effort, we ask for help from Allah.
That was why all good things are difficult initially. Just like driving a car, we start from gear 1 (low gear) and we end up in gear 5 (high gear).
Oh Allah. I have made the effort of learning the Quran. Give me the strength to continue learning your book and implement/practice them in my life

Reminder to me to remember being Slave of Allah
What I constantly remind myself is to be SLAVE of Allah.
Meaning to do what Allah commands and abstain from what Allah forbids in order to achieve Taqwa.
This is our Syahadah:
There is no God but Allah (meaning we enslave ourselves to Allah)
Muhammad is the messenger of Allah (by following what Rasulullah did).
That is the essence of being a true Muslim.
To achieve that, we must acquire the knowledge of Quran and implement the sunnah of Rasulullah.
Whatever happens is the will of Allah and we as slaves will accept the situation with redha.
Oh Allah. Make me among your slaves.
Aamiin

Close friends passed away
In the past 4 weeks (blessed month of Syaaban), I have been attending many of my friends funeral.
Just before the start of Ramadan for this year (1439H) I have attended 6 of my friend's pengkebumian.
They are
1. Hamzah Nordin (Office colleague) 57
2. Nik Nasir (Family Friend) 62
3. Amir Hamzah (University mate) 54
4. Awaluddin (Office colleague) 54
5. Norlia Harun (Distance relative) 60
6. Latifah Md Salleh(Office colleague) 60
Hamzah and Latifah were very close to me.
Oh Allah. From You we come and to You we return.
My turn will definitely come and this is a reminder to me that I will have to always be a Muslim at all times, because when I die, I want to die as a Muslim.
Ya Rabb, please make me die as a Muslim. Aamiin..

Hafazan Surah An Naaziaat
I finally succeed in memorizing Surah An Naaziat.
My initial target was end Dec 2017. I manage to achieve it end Mar 2018 ( 3 months delay).
The most difficult Surah to memorize. And the longest Surah (46 ayat).
The key, is to hear it daily.
Thank you Allah....
Let this small achievement be an example to my fellow readers.

Make doa to Allah
We often hear people say to make doa to Allah.
We also often hear people say "Allah has not granted my doa".
But, let us look closer to Allah and His attributes.
He is the Most Merciful Most Forgiving.
He loves His slaves MORE than a mother loves her children.
He gives you what you want at His own terms, because He Knows what is BEST for you.
You are in good hands. You are being protected.
But, people say, why do bad things still happen to good people.
Ok... let us define "bad things".
Whatever brings you closer to Allah is define as GOOD THINGS.
Whatever brings you further from Allah is define as BAD THINGS.
So, when calamity befalls you, Allah is drawing you closer to Him. Do not distant yourself from Him. He wants to test you and He wants to remind you to be closer to Him.
Meaning when you want something, you expect Allah to give it to you. Else He is not with you.
You put the gift in your heart, while you put the Giver (Allah) in your hands.
It should be you put your Giver in your heart, while you put the gift in your hands.
If the Giver gives you the gift, it is good for you.
If the Giver does not give the gift, then it is also good for you.
The Giver is in your heart. The gift may/may not be in your hand.
Ya Rabb... guide me to be with You... always
Old shop that have closed down
I was just pondering on the good old days.
There were many
1. Small provisional shops
2. Video rental shops
3. Kodak (Film & Photo shops)
4. Cassette/Music Shops
These shops have closed down because what they sell are overtaken by technology.
Those days, I use to hang out at these shops to buy goods, to rent a video, to buy film for my camera and to buy album in a form of cassette.
My kids will not be able to feel what I felt 40 years ago....

My 2018 blog post....
In 2018, I found it very difficult to write my blog.
My motivation of writing is at its lowest.
I am very grateful and happy of my life.
Solat, Sabr and Syukur is always in check and practiced.
Naaziyat is at 40th ayat... still struggling.
Man Utd is 2nd in Premier League.
My children are OK.
Work is so..so.
But writing my blog seems to be extremely difficult.
I love to write about myself. I used to write daily diaries when I was at school.
I long to be like Doogie Howser MD (the 80's TV series who wrote in each of his episodes).
But lately, I lost the zest to write. Maybe I am getting old for this. Maybe I have written what I intend to write. Maybe my writing becomes boring (to me and others).
Let see how it goes.....

2 Most Power Surah in the Quran
Do you know that there are only 2 Surah in the entire Quran that has not got its title in the whole surah.
For example, Surah Baqarah
The word "Baqarah" appears in the 67th ayat
For example, Surah Nas
The word "Nas" appears in ALL the 6 ayats
Only 2 Surah in the entire Quran has not got the title in its Surah
1. Al-Fatihah. There is no Fatihah in Surah Al-Fatihah
2. Al-Ikhlas. There is no Ikhlas in Surah Al-Ikhlas.
Why is it so?
These 2 ayats are very powerful indeed. Only Allah knows the reason.
Meaning, for us slaves, it is sufficient that Allah rewards us and not our fellow slaves.
It sufficient that Allah knows your good deeds and not others, just like these 2 surahs...
Allah hu allam...

He has won more Grand Slam than anyone.
He also reached 30 Grand Slam Finals. He is just a human after all.
